Megan Wong is a Chinese American fashion and accessories designer, born and raised in San Francisco, California. She graduated from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and received her BFA in 2022.

 

     The theme of time is constant in her works with earlier pieces touching on the idea of the fragility of nature. Recently, Wong has been focusing on how garments are markers of cultural identity to discuss her experiences of being Chinese American. Within her work, she hopes to express her experiences of the world and find an understanding with the viewer. She explores how textures can create emotions and how certain elements create tension or relief, allowing viewers to experience the emotions that she feels.

 

     In her ready to wear pieces, Wong has a brand creating fashion and accessories that draw out the delicate and dreamy in the wearer. The focus is on producing corsets & lingerie, generating whimsical pieces that are distinctly feminine. Every product is an idea brought to life to reawaken childhood nostalgia in others.
